Here is how I did it... for better or worse... with a bit of a feedback to both KGD and OpenSat/Celrun, I suppose...
0) I put
patch.bin on my USB memory stick and inserted it into AZbox HD [mine is 1 GB, which is plenty of space to do the backup onto it, also!]
Used my remote:
1) Home -> Setings ->
Backup -> [to your USB stick]
Channel list and Plugins.
2) Home -> Settings ->
Data Reset -> PIN [0000] ->
Delete all channels, then Delete plugins, then Factory Reset -> machine reboots.
3) Upgrade Menu:
Format application area -> OK -> when done press Exit key.
4) Upgrade Menu -> USB -> press OK to
upgrade with 4295 KGDAz
When done
AZbox HD reboots. Take the USB stick out or when it reboots choose the "Boot without update" option. If you backed up your channel list etc. on your USB stick - do not take it out, of course.
5) You will taken to Settings Menu now. Go to
Data Reset -> Factory Setting -> OK, to do the reset -> confirm.
AZ HD will now reboot, again. It should now be as clean as possible, from the old stuff in it...
6)
Home -> Settings -> System Information -> Backup/Restore -> Channel -> choose where you put it beforehand, when you backed it up -> OK -> it will tell you if it was successful... You have your old settings list back in your AZbox HD. But I had to redo my DiSEqC 1.1 settings, as not everything was restored.
7) Now,
sort out all the settings according to your needs [I go for
Language, HDMI, 1080p, DHCP, Network (DynDNS etc.) etc. etc.].
When done check out the picture quality etc.
8)
Home -> Settings -> System Information -> Backup/Restore -> Plugins -> choose where you put them -> OK -> it will tell you if it was successful...
I rebooted here. But
no plugins were available. If you go to Home -> Plug-ins -> you will only see PanelKGD and telnetKGD but nothing else.
9) Start FileZilla Client [for instance] -> Reconnect -> it went to my DISK2, as that was where I was the last time, before the upgrade. I noticed a file called "channel_load-err-line:520". I suppose this is why I had to redo my DiSEqC 1.1 settings.
Anyway, I couldn't find any of my
OpenXCAS camd and Plugins.
10) So,I thought I would try with downloading/installing OpenXCAS first and then restoring my Plugins. So,
Home -> Plugins -> red button on your remote -> azboxworld link -> OK -> OpenXCAS. When it is done -
reboot!
11) When I went to Home -> Plugins -> OpenXCAS I could find MultiCAS version 1 there, of course.
I then tried the step no. 8 again, to restore my Plugins. No luck!
I had to restore them, using FileZilla, as is described in my "Alternative Guide..." Make sure all the modules and other relevant files are given the 755 ["CHMOD"] Attributes, as described in my "guide"!!!
When I was done I
rebooted! All was working, all my camd/Plugins.
12) Home -> Plugins ->
PanelKGD -> and you get to this:
Immediately, one can see that using the coloured buttons on your remote one can go into certain plugins, to check who's online, how many cards they have, at which distance, which level etc. Some other buttons should also show some other info. Very useful!
I went to
Configuraciones first and activated the bottom 2 options,
Webserver HTTPD (DDirec) and
CamSkin. But I see no option to download and install an alternative skin, sorry... Have I missed something?
If you want to go back to the main menu of the plugin press
MENU on your Remote, to the left of the OK button.
Then, I went one by one ->
Instalar Extras first. You will see many options and sub options:
-
Cams [various versions of MGcamd, CCcam, NewCS, MPCS, Incubus and rqCamd (I tried MPCS, just to see how it's done; when it was done it put me back to the main KGD Menu];
-
Cas [CCC.2, Mbox 0.4_23 as well as the latest version, Sbox, SCDXCas, even OpenXCAS! (I tried Sbox and that went OK, too)];
-
MultiCAS had its section [various versions are there];
-
Listas [one motor list];
-
Plugins [some of which I found in Plugins, compressed: iRadio, CCcamInfo, Weather Forecast, Flickr, livefeeds, livescores, liveonsat, GoogleMap, mboxinfo, MultiCASinfo (it's an old version with small fonts!), TechsatAZHDKey (it didn't work!) etc. - I tried a few, as you can see...];
-
Varios has Cams but I got an error, when trying;
-
IPListas is empty for now;
-
Juegos has SudoQ and TuxChess.
{Just to mention:
Home -> Plugins -> red button on your remote -> techsat.info/AZPlugins link -> OK -> TechSat_AZK plugin v. 2 and
download keys for MultiCAS, MGcamd and CCcam, plus
see the channels available with them, using the green button to navigate to another page of hacked channels/packages! Very good!}
You have the "Uninstall" option, too [
Deinstalar Extras], for some of the above.
Scripts have only 2 for now:
df and
ifconfig. No idea what and how, sorry...
Then we get to option no 5:
DDirec descargas directas -> see the explanation in the top post ["The DDirec is a direct download, only for users with premium accounts rapidshare and/or megaupload, when finished downloading the files automatically removed. Only works with zip formats (Linux, Win, Mac) and allows to use password, is created to Azbox with harddisk has to be formatted as Ext3."]
Options 6: the above option needs a HDD connected to AZ HD for this to work, just like creating a SWAP partition also needs it. But this one [
ipkg] can also be installed on a USB memory stick [not sure if the previous option can use it]. There are loads of applications that need this package to be installed. Sorry, can't tell you much about it, as I never used it... yet... either for Torrents or whatever else it may do...
Option 7 is
Extras HDD -> saving it all on HDD, plus extra tools for it, I guess. I don't have it attached, so haven't tried it yet...
13) Home -> Plugins ->
telnetKGD -> I suppose one could write, using one's remote [or a keyboard, if one had it connected to AZ HD directly], to start various functions. I suspect this is for advanced users...
Well done, guys!!! A nice kick in the RIGHT DIRECTION!!!! :okb::botar:
