trabaja en fw KGD 4295?

No lo creo. No lo he testeado en todos pero creo que el nuevo API se activo en el 4890. Desde este en adelante si funciona, en los anteriores no creo que funcione, ademas el EPG en esos firms se perdia al cabo de un tiempo, etc.

gorsky, in the getepg.conf have defined the folder where you store the xml files for rytec (default is /DATA/usb1/sda1/XMLTV/), this folder must exist, if you have not already, you must create it.

Ha, silly Billy me - missed that! Created it and gave the command to go fetch... Looking much better now. But again, some things are a bit... "off"...

So, I tried again, testing all aspects of it. I better tell you what I use, apart from GetEPG 2.0:

a) I am using the original FW 4890;

b) PM 1.8 - but not for SWAP, because there is a problem with it, where it has difficulties mounting it after reboot;

c) I use swapon plugin, which goes to Plugins for that.

Problems:

Sometimes, since I installed PM after that, it says SWAP OK but I go to sda1 and it's not there... Weird... It was working when there was no PM and it's having great difficulties to work after I installed PM 1.8. Many reboots are necessary before SWAP is mounted. And we must have it, because I think without it many things do not work. So, if I don't see SWAP file I don't download EPG!

If I see SWAP I do not see XMLTV and vice versa. As if they annihilate each other...

To top it all up with a cheery, if I see SWAP file and go to FTP Client and then back to File Manager - SWAP file is gone. Now I have an extra pvrfile and recordfile, together with sda1, apart from pvrfile and recordfile inside the sda1, together with XMLTV folder. WTF?!?

My questions:

1) Not all EPG is going to USB1, right? Some are going to /Download? If so, can it slow down the performance of AZ? Can we put it all safely to USB memory stick, for instance?

I will try it now and report back...

These are my instructions for the test to send it all to USB memory stick, i.e. how I edited how many days of EPG to download and where to send it:

Spain at 19.E does not work more than now and next. Must investigate why...

Btw, when I was done downloading EPG for 5 days, for the packages I need, MaZ says camd is on 47 and FLASH on 84% at the moment.

2) I used MaZ to update all the channels via Kingsofsat. But GetEPG states that it can not find many channels... Why? Can it be fixed?

3) CSAT [them Frenchies always making trouble...:p] is blocking it all. It is stuck there forever! Not working! I had to inactivate it with # in front of it!

Sometimes I must redo it a few times to make it go through all the ones I want it to download...

Hi from Greece.Dear Gorski,i changed DATA/usb1/sda1/XMLTV with DATA/hdb1/XMLTV(created the folder) and the plugin worked like a charm for nova,but the characters displayed are not in greek..can we do something to display the characters as it is in the rytec file?any help appreciated.morser thanks for your work.

Felicidades por este plugin, lo acabo de instalar en el firw0.9.4890 no KGD y despues de mandar los comandos por telnet:

me ha descargado la programación de 7 dias, casi de forma inmediata.Mis dudas son las siguientes:
No tengo ni el cron ni el daemon que he leido en el post, aunque no tengo ni idea de lo que son , aunque creo q sirven para programar las descargas del epg
he de configurar algo para q descargue la programacion todos los dias? tengo q mandar los comandos por telnet o lo hace de forma automatica?

Bueno, no puedo decir que no se vaya a colgar nunca. El uso de memoria ahora es menor pero este fin de semana he estado haciendo unas cuantas pruebas y he comprobado que a veces se cuelga cuando se hacen llamadas externas al sistema (cambio de canal para que la imagen vuelva a salir y poner el deco en standby). Las pruebas las he realizado con el daemon, lanzandolo varias veces seguidas y a la cuarta mas o menos se me quedaba colgado pero sorprendentemente, el programa hacia lo que tenia que hacer, es decir, una vez cargado el EPG cambiaba canal arriba y canal abajo ya que me aparecia el OSD en pantalla pero no me cambiaba el mensaje del display y luego aparecia el menu para ponserse en standby pero cuando los segundos llegaban a 0 se quedaba asi sin apagarse. Despues de algunos cambios llegue a lanzarlo 6 veces seguidas y no se colgo, asi que lo deje asi. Si hay que reiniciarlo una vez a la semana no es tanto problema y ademas, el archivo de epg si se genera por lo que al reiniciar se carga el EPG y no hay que volverlo a lanzar.

Ahora bien, cada deco es un mundo y el uso de memoria no se lo damos todos igual, asi que si en tu caso se te queda siempre bloqueado a las mañanas habra que mirar si se le puede dar otra solucion (crear por ejemplo un temporizador para que encienda el deco un par de minutos antes de cargarse el EPG y otro para ponerlo en standby unos 4 minutos despues).

Gracias por responder, durante el día hice varios cambios de hora en el daemonEPG, y no se bloqueo nunca, siempre lo hizo bien, mas o menos 7 cargas en distintas horas, y todas bien.
Gracias por el trabajo que haces y además por responder con todo lujo de detalles a los "torpes" como yo.

Una pregunta, no me he leido el hilo, ya que acabo de venir, y queria preguntaros en D + os carga las descripciones de los programas? Por lo que he visto hay canales en los que no me los carga y tambien se queda colgado el deco cuando acaba de descargarse e intentas cambiar de canal. Se sabe algo?

I was not able to.
I was trying for German Television
first with xmltv (yes i habe enough free space in Download 133 MB)

But bouth times when i enter ./getepg via Telnet it starts and after 10-20 sec i have the error "NO SIGNAL" on my Television and the Screen is black
via Telnet i only get the Message "trying to get EPG for ZDF".I wait 15 min but nothing more happend so i restartet the AZBox.

si lo quieres todo en mayusculas en tu caso edita el s50epgKGD.sh y ponlo asi

#!/bin/sh
cd /PLUGINS/PanelKGD/epg
./DaemonEPG -A
./getepg -l

y te lo cargara todo en mayusculas en la proxima carga.

si lo quieres ya ejecuta esto desde telnet

cd /PLUGINS/PanelKGD/epg
./getepg -A

Spain at 19.E does not work more than now and next. Must investigate why...

Btw, when I was done downloading EPG for 5 days, for the packages I need, MaZ says camd is on 47 and FLASH on 84% at the moment.

2) I used MaZ to update all the channels via Kingsofsat. But GetEPG states that it can not find many channels... Why? Can it be fixed?

3) CSAT [them Frenchies always making trouble...:p] is blocking it all. It is stuck there forever! Not working! I had to inactivate it with # in front of it!

Gorsky, your problem with Digital+ and Csat is that the signal to the transponder you get weak. That's what happens to me with CSAT, at a point near the antenna works for me, although some data go wrong, such as the names of some channels I see that it happens to you in your log. If I test it at another point farther from the antenna hangs because I can not receive data. In this case you will have to use rytec xml to load Csat and Digital+.

By the way, Sky Uk work? is the only thing I could not try.

Yes, I tried getting the South Slavic signs in the EPG by choosing Serbian for the main menu language, rebooting and it was a disaster...

Lost everything, must redo all from scratch... Could be a bug?
