I’m using Spaze 2.1 on an Azbox Premium and it is the best image I have ever used (for my needs).
I’m very happy with this image but there is a thing that annoys me greatly: the lack of a black background behind TTX Subtitles.
Is there a way to put a black backround behind ttx subtitles?
I have been fiddling for days with the skin.xml in the NavySpazeTeam folder (especially lines 2082 to 2087, which – I think – are the right spot) but I just can’t seem to do it !!!
I tried these things:
a) adding to the 4 lines backgroundColor=”black” — in vain;
b) adding to the 4 lines transparent=”1″ — in vain;
c) adding to the 4 lines borderColor=”black” borderWidth=”3″ — in vain.
d) modifying the offset in shadowOffset=”0,0,0,5″ — endless rebooting;
I only managed to change the font colour in WHITE and the shadow in BLACK, slightly changing its offset, but subtitles are still UNREADABLE !!!
Is there a way? Where should I modify?

PS:
Keep in mind this:
- DVB Subtitles on ANY SD channel I have (HOTBIRD and ASTRA 28) are buggy !!! They pop up 3-4 seconds BEFORE the actual speech.
- DVB Subtitles on ANY HD channels are ok.
- TTX Subtitles are perfectly synchronized but, as long as you don’t put a black background behind them, I won’t be able to read them !
