Somebody is dreaming up a newi Coolstream dream multimedia set-top box model...

The internal working title is: Coolstream Matrix Reloaded

- Plug-Twin and Quad Tuner
- Apple A4 CPU @ 1GHZ 2GB Ram, 32GB SSD Flash
- Remote controlled multi-touch display and
- Standby <0.1 watts
- Boot time 3-5 sec (enter the matrix)
- Neutrino HD Edition Neo (known from the Matrix trilogy)
- UMTS-Ready
- ITunes / Apple TV support - HD TV shows directly from iTunes store on the Coolstream
- Streaming on the iPhone's via UMTS (3GPP Support)
- Milled aluminum housing
- MMS / SMS to Coolstream

So, how about it? Is there a new dream multimedia model, the kind of box we are interested in, being prepared?!?

Because this one, now called "Neo" failed in many of the important promises/announcements... Why?

With such specs one should be able to get:

-TWIN tuner functionality [but which tuners exactly - S2, 4:2:2 supported, blindscan???]

-1080p at 50 or 60 HZ, not just 25...

-PIP [Picture in Picture]

-Multimedia [superb streaming, playing of all sorts of file formats...]

-and so on...

Is the OS [Neutrino, in this case] the problem in having the Twin Tuner functionality, if there is a problem?

Or is it the drivers?

Or is it the HW [motherboard -> chipset, like Southbridge]?!?

Any more info?
