Need some urgent help, please: FW 5303 for dual boot, cloned USB memory stick for it?

Can somebody who has the original FW 5303 fully installed for dual booting in/from his USB memory stick, with E2 in the DOM [with the newest kernel], do me a favour, please?

For once, I am asking for help... So, it's serious... Sadly!:mal:

Can you, please, clone the complete content of your USB memory stick, which you use for Dual Boot with E2 and upload it somewhere on the net for me to try. The only chance of recovering my AZ HD simply is if I do this, I fear...

I might then have the LAN connection - and maybe I'll be able to flash the DOM with a kernel, which is now missing, it would appear...

Who knows what happened exactly but the fact is that the USB got removed and wiped, as well as some files in AZ HD... I was tired, what can I say... I made a mistake... AZ, however, I notice, still expects to boot from the original FW 5303 on a USB memory stick, which might be my lifeline...

Don't know if it will work but I must try, as other options are quite hard for me. No soldering iron, no time, no peace, no skills for soldering etc. JTAG or USB/TTL flashing of the YAMON/boot/kernel is a bit much at the moment, when I try running after my son who just loves to come to a laptop and bang on the keyboard, 'till something "happens"... You can imagine...

So, as I have no "Rescue mode", no LAN connection with AZ HD, then neither Jazup nor AZup can connect to AZ, which is why I think that kernel in Yamon went bonkers...

The standard procedure, from a USB memory stick, is a no-go, either, as it "can't unpack files"...

Do I need a special SW to put it on the USB stick, please? I mean, you cloned it with some special SW, in which case I should use the same SW to put it on mine - or not?

I was downloading as I was writing, so I didn't know what was in the file...

Superb! :oka:I had to try with 16 GB USB stick.

It goes to "Sleep 15s" mode and then "checking", then "Loading" and - VOILA!!!! IT WORKED!!! I GOT IT!!! So, once in, it recognises it, and it boots from the USB stick, i.e. it boots from the original FW that is on the USB and I have a connection!!! LAN/Telnet/IP address is there!!! YES!!!:okb:

Now, let's try to burn an image into DOM... I tried with ACC 1.1a. It almost worked. AT 70% I had to go to put my kid to bed, so I didn't see the end. It returned some kinda "error"...:nono:

Now, from a usual procedure, using patch.bin 4890 on a USB stick.

Going... DONE!!!!:botar:

Now, is it great to have competent hobbyist colleagues or what!!!:regalo:

What image you mean.... the same that we have in USB stick??

Well, it didn't work. You may try - just choose an image and transfer. All self-explanatory, you'll see... [just reinstalled, so not on my laptop at the moment...]

Whichever image you want - but I managed with the usual method, from a USB stick...

Como no me funcionaba con los firm E2 rc6...9 y gracias al compañero gonci comprendí que tenía que instalar nuevamente el rc5 de e2:

Acabo de reinstalar el rc5 de e2 solo para sacar clones de los firm oficiales y KGB a fin de evitar tener que reinstalar el rc5.

Yo lo he solicitado y al final me he decidido ha colaborar por eso traigo aquí las imágenes para que sean clonadas con el programa Clonar-pen.zip que podéis encontrar en este foro.

Las imágenes las he optenido antes de reiniciar en mi deco por primera vez para ver si así son compatibles con todos los decos.

Gonci, Milytres...muchas garcias a ambos. El otro día me "cargué" el Spaze Team E2 ..tratando de crearme un USB con el 5306 de Opensat..y me tocó reeinstalar el de Opensat. Como eran altas horas decidí dejarlo..pero me quedé con la mosca detrás de la oreja sobre la posbilidad de clonar un USB y usarlo directamente...mira por donde..que ya lo teníais pensado y solucionado....lo pruebo... ¿ por casualidad tenéis lo mismo con la 5306 ?... saludos
