1) Install E2 in DOM/flash. This is how: http://www.azboxhd.e...showtopic=11653

2) Format USB memory stick in EXT3. Use EASEUS Partition Master 9.0.0 Home Edition to format it from Windows easily. One can get it here:

Código:
http://www.satpimps.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=50915&d=1314732990

3) Plug USB stick into AZ HD.

4) Reboot AZ HD at the back, press and hold the > button (front of AZ HD), 'till you have the IP address on VFD.

5) Get the dual boot OFW here:

Código:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=PVJ7M3QJ

6) Start AZUp 2.07 or higher:
-put in the AZ HD IP address,
-tick USB and
-EXT3,
-format extended partition &
-copy kernel
-> press (at the bottom) INSTALL OFFICIAL FW -> choose the 2 files for it (say, 5308 OFW) and wait...

7) When it's done and it reboots sometimes it won't work immediately: you need to ignore possible "upgrade" screens and choose "Boot without update"!

What are you looking for? When booting, you need to (eventually) see "sleep=15s".

Then, your OFW will boot and you can

8) update it normally, installing channel list, OpenXCAS, MultiCAS, OSCam, Priority Manager 2.5, GetEPG 2.5, Tech*s*a*t*k*e*ysDownloader and all else, as usual...

See how to, in detail, here (Spanish translation of my guide by pe.tardo!): http://www.azboxhd.e...?showtopic=1389 - post no. 33.

Btw, if you want to boot into E2, just go to Standby, kill the box at the back, unplug the USB stick and switch the box on again...

P.S.Pingflood is developing "Boot OFW" plugin from E2 without rebooting - but in SPAZE Fix it isn't working... That's gonna be cool. We wait... B)

Una pregunta, ¿se puede usar el mismo pendrive para cargar el firm opensat y para usar con el flashexpander en E2 a la vez?

One question, can I use the same pendrive to load opensat firm and for flashexpander use in E2 at same time?

I don't think so, because at every boot the boot file in OFW would be recognised and it would boot in OFW...

However, if you use Pingflood's OFW Launcher - it might be possible, theoretically, I think...

Because in that case the boot file is renamed (you add ofw at the end of it)...

Ergo, a [big enough] USB stick would only be seen as E2 bootable!

One merely moves to OFW from within E2, with Ping's plugin!

Try and tell, please... ;)

Come to think of it - a great idea! :D :D :D

But technically, how does one do it?

One would need to install E2 in the DOM, then, plug in a USB stick and install OFW to USB (there must be just 1 partition on it to make it work?) and then, once AZ reboots and we check that it was all well done - we put it to Standby, kill it at the back and take the USB stick out.

Restart at the back and once E2 is up, put the USB in AZ HD and edit the kexec, then install Ping's OFW Launcher plugin.

After that, initialise Flash Expander, to move /usr to the USB stick. If successful, the box would have to be rebooted.

When it reboots, it will boot into E2 but you will be able to use Ping's plugin to go into OFW without reboot.

Sounds doable, come to think of it in some detail...

BUT WOULD IT REALLY BE POSSIBLE?

It's possibly a question of partitions on the USB stick, too. I mean, they'll be quite a few, after we install OFW on it. So, would it be possible to install Flash Expander, since there are more partitions? One would need to know which one exactly, in order not to mess with OFW in any way - but find an empty partition...

I'd have a go, when SPAZE 2 is out - gladly! :D

...unless somebody beats me to it... now that I wrote down the idea in some detail, hehe... :D

Good luck, if you do! ;)
