I check quickly the 7405 Broadcom chip. It is able too to perform "motion adaptative" deinterlacing (and perhaps better upscaling algorithm) compared to the 7335.

I think, as soon as some test it, we will know if this is true or not. The picture quality should be improved.

Yes it does goe off. also if you mean if there is no Picture, then the answer is Yes it goes OFF

Do not have Totat TV , but tested SUB on Canal Digital Nordic, and Viasat Baltic all works perfect with SUB. Later on i will test UK card too

Does remote control work fast and without key losses
Remote work wonderfully, do not have any key loss until now, it respond very fast and the box catches all the commands. Remote is not the best but is usable and well thought through

Does teletext work fast or is slow
Teletext is fast at list on some channels that i tested.
Like C+ Action and BBC or TV 1000 that i tested is fast realy fast.

Etc etc, please test if you can and report
Sure , but until now im well impressed with the box.
I installed Pli image, installed CCcam 2.2.1 added my 2 cards to test both cards work , scanning the channel was a bit slow but i found even channels that i never know they was there, added an external 2.5 HDD that i use on Spiderbox and this worked out of the box Fat32 , played DIVX and MP3 no problem , try to play DVD files this did not work.

I will test DVD driver later on and see if that works.

I hope this is some help in so short time.

i LIKE THE BOX, it is the fastest Linux box and Enigma2 box i have tested, and when i mean that i say i have tested all linux boxes, the box is dam fast in my eyes
one thing that i did like very much was the Channel switch was terribly fast must say way to fast.

Ok some more test are done.
Add USB 32 GB and use as HDD is piece of cake and works excellent, played some divis from there with no problem.

Added DM 500 HD and VU+ SOLO that i have next to each other and i can firmly say that CT 9000 is way better in my eyes.

I test HD on BBC HD on Thor , and picture on that is not much different from the other boxes, then i go to SD channel Poker Channel and here is the fun game, this channels is much better in picture in CT 9000 then the other 2 boxes. Normally this is the low level picture on this channel but CT managed to upscale perhaps a bit and make it a bit clearer to see it

All test are made on Samsung 32" tv ReadyHD

Tomorrow a friend of mine that has Vantage VT-1 and IPbox 9900 is coming to visit me and we made new more test on Picture and stability.

Until now this box is worth the money guys. All we need now is more support from different teams.

Guys i'm not home right now but will test more later on next week.
T make few answers, 4.2.2 does not interest me much, so cannot say i will test it at once, but give me Frequency and satellite then i can make an effort to test as soon as possible.

PIP is working only on 1 HD and 1 SD channel , so this is tested.

audio sync plugin is pre-installed on the Original image, but have not tested that yet.

You forgot to test recording from deep standby
Will do that as soon as i have a another HDD as i do not want to risk the HDD i have now, there is to much films and music to Initialize that, but later i will test with 1TB external disk.

The switch between them is smooth and i must say it is the first time i have so Smooth switch over.

Sure i can, have allready made that but i do not use Youtube or any other net video streaming, but believe me it is fast really fast, amazingly fast in HD to HD channel, ot HD to SD or SD to SD, it is unbelievably fast

Yes the Multi audio works perfect so does the Sub on the channels it self, on Recordings i have not tested that as i have NO HDD inside yet or external.

Check if blindscan works, it looks like the box got Sharp tuners and not Broadcom.

I have not tested Blindscan but as i told before i got channels on both Thor and Sirius or on Eutelsat 16 east that i never got before, so it must be a good tuner

Also test sensitivity of the tuners compared to Vu+ if you still have it.
Well compare to VU+ SOLO then yes it seems better tuner and more sensitive, but not that much that can be a killer

Flashing procedure:

Find the software and download it on you,r computer
Find a USB and format it to fat32.
Unzip the downloaded file to PC then transfer the folder et9000 into the root of usb.
In the et9000 folder must be the files.

Turn of the box then add the usb on the box
Turn On the box and follow the display
push the OK button on the front panel then the install start

1. Unzip compressed file.
2. Copy the "ET9000" folder to a USB Pen Drive.
3. Power off receiver with the mains switch on the rear.
4. Connect USB Pen Drive.
5. Power on receiver with the mains switch on the rear.
6. Press the OK Button on the front panel (behind the front flap).

Update in progress.

The receiver will reboot automatically after update.

Tested, is very quick as i can see it. 2 GB of MKV film for 6 min in lan upload , and download is almost the same

Today i try to loop through with new cable and got some problems with it, second tuner said to me PAT not in use or some thing like that, it happened once so i do not remember exactly.

Initializing 1TB external HDD was problem free, recording from EPG or directly was problem free.
UK card was problem free as long as the right box id was in config, new viasat card from SWE did not work it the new one with the Green logo.

Anyway i will not say any more about this, and will test just what you guys may need to know, will stay out for some time

No the box do not come with any Open Pli image, so there will be nothing to help you to sett up the box, like Softcams and so on.

I would say, test the box with Original image to start with, make sure all works fine in the Hardware part, then after you are sure all works as they should flash to Pli, this i say only because if there is any problem you can return the box in Original state..

I have no Problem with the box, and have not heard any one else to have Problems either, but better safe then sorry they say.

Now it is Christmas and being a father time is for Christmas and there is not much time for more test now.

Backup Script for ET9000

To make a backup image onto a USB stick you fist have to save an empty text file to the USB stick called etbackupstick.txt

You should now have a file called etbackupstick.txt on the USB Pen Drive.

Insert the USB Pen into the ET-9000

Upload the backup.sh and build-usb-image.sh files to the /tmp folder on the ET-9000.

Open a Telnet Window and enter the following 3 commands 1 line at a time.

This will create a folder on your USB Pen Drive called et9000
Inside the et9000 folder is your backed up image.

-speed?
-is it safe to overclock and by how much, not to destabilise the receiver?
-A-V codecs already at the HW level [licences paid for by the designing/manufacturing company]?

2) Motherboard
-capable of twin tuner function?
-can it handle Picture-in-Picture [PiP]?
-streaming supported properly [the "South Bridge" capable of data throughput necessary for high bitrate streams?]?
-expansion slots [memory and tuners]?
-overheating/cooling?
-how much memory?
-HDMI loopthrough?

3) Tuners
-twin tuner function - how many channels can be recorded at the same time [given one has twin LNBs on a dish]?
-sensitivity to weak signal?

amigo gorski , lo que ocurre es que ,como te pasará a ti ,aunque usemos el traductor hay veces en las que una misma cosa la confunde el traductor y da lugar a malas interpretaciones, por lo que a mi respecta me encanta poder conversar contigo sin dominar tu idioma y poder entendernos .
lo ideal seria tener un idioma universal pero eso aun no es posible por lo tanto tan solo tenemos que ser comprensivos todos y dar gracias a estos metodos por los cuales somos capaces de entendernos.

hola amigos..no pasa nada desde mi punto de vista..dejémoslo a gorski que lance sus infos tecnicas en el idioma que él pueda...y él hace todo lo posible por pasarnos las infos en ingles traducidas por el maestro traductor google aunque no sea la mejor..pero estoy seguro que algun forero le es agradecido porque pasa muy buenas infos técnicas..y eso le interesa a los expertos. Es sus infos o manuales a veces le tengo que leer 3 veces hasta entender lo que el quiere informar y finalmente le entiendo..solo que yo soy de un nivel técnico inferior...pero le entiendo muy bien lo que él quiere informar

they have no Softcam to download (CCcam etc.). So manually installation for smargo is needed.

Let me get this straight... Did I miss something, please? [Feel free to add/clarify/correct me!]

If these guys sort out the following:

1) 4:2:2 [driver issue]

2) blindscan [Enigma2 issue]

3) multimedia [correct playback/streaming to and from the rec, of all sorts of files - drivers issue]

4) internal card reader [CS server etc. - drivers issue]

5) HDMI sound issue [just a little error, as it already worked and now it doesn't, is seems]

- THIS MACHINE COULD BE "IT"!!! :regalo::rosas:

Price: around €450, for now...:bebidos:

Have a look at these images and compare the HW with other top notch machines...

Even DMM 8000 HD lags behind in a number of ways and it's better only with
-the possibility of installing a slim DVD recorder and
-2 additional tuners
but if you do not need a cable tuner that is irrelevant, as you can add a terrestrial tuner via a USB port]... And the price issues is seriously startling!:follar:

So, arguably, the best Linux machine in the making, if certain things are sorted out...???:heavy::brindis:

Wow! This [speed of new fixes and constant upgrades] seems quite impressive, if you ask me...

The price is falling, which is good!

I heard from a seller in Holland and he tells me that Xtrend is a brand for Holland only, no clone but the very same original - whereas the C-T ET9000 is the brand for the rest of the world...

Still, Xtrend can now be found for €359, with 2 years warranty from the sellers, El.-Sat... With 1TB HDD = €399, if memory serves...

Hmmm... tempting, as the drivers are being improved, the Manual is now also in English and not bad etc. etc.
