Well, with E2 new possibilities are opening, so does anyone know if [and how exactly] we could exchange DOM for this and benefit, with 4 GB of non-volatile memory:

I don't know, so I am asking if it would be advantageous enough to be worth the effort [it would need an extra cable/connector, some structure to stabilise it and cooling, no?] and money, guys?

Apparently, it boots really quickly and so on...

Cheers!

Maybe it could be a cheaper and easier option to use a 2,5" standard hard disk. I use an IDE to SATA adapter from China suppliers (10 euro).

There would be no problem to use it with OpenSat firmware or Enigma2 and there is no need for extra cooling system nor extra screws or whatever, just to put it in the right place.

A picture worth a thousand words:

Thanx a bunch! Appreciated!!! ;)

You mean, no need for extra cooling with 2.5 inch HDD or with the one I posted?

Cheers! :)

It is not needed with either. I'm running this setup for more than two non stop months, no power off or standby cycles. Of course, it will heat up a little bit but it does not seems to be a problem, its place inside the box is free from heat sources.

It works like a charm.
