Antes de empezar necesitamos:
1. Un pendrive formateado en FAT32 (preferiblemente de menos de 8 Gb para prevenir de posibles fallos de compatibilidad)
2. La imagen o firmware que quieras instalar.
3. Software de compresión como 7zip.
Puedes encontrar las imágenes para el OS Mega en http://openspa.webhop.info.
1. Formatear el pendrive en FAT32
2. Descargar la imagen escogida y extraerla a tu escritorio (o carpeta que tú quieras de tu PC) mediante el 7zip o semejantes.
3. Abrir la carpeta extraida, y veremos una carpeta llamada osmega. Copiar la carpeta entera en la raíz del pendrive.
Flasheando el receptor…
1. Desconectar el receptor (desenchufar de la corriente o apretar el interruptor trasero)
2. Asegurarse que no hay otros dispositivos USB conectados al receptor mientras estamos flasheando.
3. Insertar el pendrive que contiene la carpeta de la imagen en uno de los puertos USB del receptor. Se recomienda usar el puerto trasero.
4. Conectar el receptor.
5. En la pantalla de TV te saldrá un mensaje que presiones y mantengas pulsado el botón OK de tu mando a distancia para empezar el proceso de instalación. El proceso de instalación empezará y en la pantalla de TV aparecerá el progreso.
6. Si todo ha ido bien, el receptor se reiniciará al acabar el proceso de instalación.
7. Sacar el pendrive que hemos utilizado para la instalación.
El proceso de instalación acostumbra a durar de 2 a 4 minutos. Mientras se flashea el receptor, es muy importante que NO desenchufes o desconectes el receptor ya que puede provocar daños importantes y permanentes.
Si el receptor pasa de los archivos del pendrive y arranca con la imagen existente en flash, debes comprobar que la estructura de carpetas en el pendrive es correcta o prueba con otro pendrive.

What you need before start:

2. Image of your choice.
3. Compression software such as 7zip.

1. Format a USB stick to FAT32.
2. Download the image of your choice and extract it to your desktop or where you want.
3. Open the folder you extracted, and you will see another folder named osmega, this is the image file. Copy the entire osmega folder directly to the root of your USB stick.
Flashing the Receiver.
1) Power off the receiver
2) Ensure no other USB devices are plugged into the receiver while flashing.
3) Insert the USB stick containing the image files into one of the USB ports on the receiver, rear USB port is advised if possible.
4) Power the receiver on.
5) You will be prompted on your TV screen to press and hold down ‘OK’ button on your remote to start the flashing process. The flashing process will then start and progress shown on TV screen.
6) If successful, the receiver will reboot itself after the flashing process has completed.
7) Remove USB stick that contains the images files.
The flashing process should take approximately two to four minutes to complete, while the receiver is being flashed, it is important that you DO NOT power the receiver down for any reason as this can cause serious and or permanent damage.
If the receiver bypasses the flash files on the USB stick and boots into the existing image instead you may need to check that the file structure is correct on the USB stick or try formatting again the USB stick.
