DUO2 CFE V2 Update HowTO.

** NOTE **

This Bootloader(CFE) is Version 2, supporting WOL.
If you see "Vu+ Duo2 CFE V2" message when booting, there is no need to update.

** Caution! **
************************************************************************************
This CFE(Duo2_CFE_V2.zip) should be used for Duo2 only.
Otherwise it will crash the box.

** Brief explanation of Duo2 CFE update **
************************************************************************************

1. Unzip the Duo2_CFE_V2.zip to USB stick.(cfe_cfe_auto.bin, cfe_cfe_auto.md5sum and cfe_cfe_auto.model should be at /vuplus/duo2 folder)
2. Insert USB stick into the USB port of Duo2 and turn the power on.
3. Press the front power button when Update message is shown.
5. It takes just a few seconds to update.
5. If Duo2 displays the message "Finished..reboot", remove the USB stick and restart the box.
5. To update image later, you should delete the all cfe_cfe_auto.* at /vuplus/duo2 in USB stick once CFE update is finished.

This update is needed to use the plugin "Wake on Lan" that will be available in the next Black Hole 2.0.5 version for Duo2.

Instructions:

1. Unzip the Duo2_CFE_V2.zip to USB stick.(cfe_cfe_auto.bin, cfe_cfe_auto.md5sum and cfe_cfe_auto.model should be at /vuplus/duo2 folder)
2. Insert USB stick into the USB port of Duo2 and turn the power on.
3. Press the front power button when Update message is shown.

1º apagas el receptor de atras.
2º enchufas el pendrive parte delantera.
3º enciendes el receptor
4º cuando te muestre en el VFD display el mensaje, dale OK POWER (BOTON QUE VERÁS DETRAS DE LA TAPA DE LOS SLOTS).
5º esperas que te muestre en el VFD el mensaje "FINISHED REBOOT"
6º retiras el pendrive
7º apagas de atrás.

Cuidado con el bootloader que como se haga mal el proceso de actualización dejáis el deco muerto y solo se puede recuperar por JTAG.

pronto recebire mi du02 y quiero meterler la ultima version de bh la 2.1.3, haría falta también instalar este bootloader antes de meter la ultima version de bh?

Espérate a que te llegue el deco, y luego ya verás si lo lleva o no.
Si te hace falta meterlo, tendrás tiempo de sobra.

a que te refieres si vendra la bh instalada? si no es asi y no viene la black hole instala lo primero que debería instalar seria el bootloader y luego la imagen de black hole no?

Para saber si esta instalado, tienes que mirar cuando inicia el duo2 en el display, te tiene que poner esto VU+ DUO2 CFE V2

No hace falta solo tienes que poner la carpeta vuplus en un pendrive, y seguir las instrucciones de arriba.

perdonar hace un mes que tengo el vu duo2
y no savia que se tuviera que actualizar CFE V2 y no tengo
ni idea de como hacerlo,
yo tengo instalada la imagen black hole 2.1.4
creéis que tengo que actualizar el CFE V2 o no es necesario
supongo que yo ya lo tengo actualizado, escosas de novatos jij

VU+ DUO2 CFE V2, en el inicio lo pone muy deprisa pero lo pone, teneis razon.....
