AZBOX with MAC OSX

Guys

I am about to purchase a new AZBOX but i am wondering if the programming and setting around it is restricted to a WINDOWS environment and not MAC OSX? I believe a text editor is needed and an ftp client too, but I guess these are available for MAC too, unless there is something else i am not foreseeing?

Hy,
There is a program named FILEZILLA that is a FTP (both client and server), available for MAC-OS.
For TELNET purposes you can use MAC "terminal". It's not very friendly but works.

so filezilla is the same for both Operating systems, but I am not sure what TERMINAL will be used for? Is it the equivalent for putty in windows?

Usa Cyberduck, es un gestor FTP muy bueno, con él puedes modificar todas las carpetas y archivos del AZBOX.

TERMINAL is a MAC utility taht you can find in "utilities" section.

Yes, it is.

I have a macmini, macbook and time capsule.
if you want to connect your MAC computer with your satellite receiver .. Azbox HD for me is the best ... better than playstation 3 because this satellite receiver even recognizes the time capsule as a computer so you can connect to any any mac computer through samba.
you can record any channel and after you can watch it in your MAC with VLC in your intranet.
